South Fork Outfitters, Shop Staff
Todd Lanning - South Fork Outfitters, General Manager
Todd Lanning began working for South Fork Outfitters in the fall of 2002. He grew up on a farm in Melba, Idaho and learned to fly fish from his grandfather at the age of nine. Todd spent almost every summer as a kid with his aunt and uncle in Hamilton, Montana on the banks of the Bitterroot River. It was on the Bitterroot that he fell in love with the western mountain fly fishing. Mr. Lanning served his country with the Marines; and shortly after High School he found himself in the worlds hot spot fighting for rights of less fortunate countries. Todd Lanning is a veteran of the Gulf War, Somalia, and the L.A. Riots. Todd returned to Idaho after his service and took a guiding job for Headwater Outfitters in Ketchum, Idaho. It was in Ketchum that he met his wife Lisa. They moved to Idaho Falls in the fall of 1999 and were married. Today they have four children: Georgia, Gary, Grant, and Grayson. Just prior to arriving here at South Fork Outfitters, Todd spent two years managing the fishing department at Sportsman's Warehouse in Idaho Falls where he was responsible for one million dollars in inventory. We are extremely happy to have Todd and hope you our valued guest are able to stop in and talk fish and bugs with him soon.
