South Fork Regional Fishing Report
07/03/09
The water is on its way down! We have had boats out for the past few days and having success. The water is dropping 1000 to 800 cfs a day. We have seen Salmon Flies in all sections of the river. There are also Yellow Sallies, P.M.Ds and Mahogany duns all in good numbers. As the river drops start fishing the riffles as they appear. The river is still dangerous at the current level of 22,000 cfs. Please use caution and common sense if you plan on being on the river over the next few days. I don’t think the river will come up barring another month of rain.
Look for the Green Drakes to start hatching over the next week. I guess that when the bugs start hatching they will all hatch at once. We should see some stellar fishing from now until October. Please call the shop with any questions or for an up to the minute report.
